Why do the people concerned give so little evidence of spiritual experience, in spite of their efforts? Why worst of all, is the will for action, for the carrying out of these spiritual impulses, so weak?” Rudolf Steiner replied, “This a problem of nutrition. Nutrition as it is today does not supply the strength necessary for manifesting the spirit in physical life. A bridge can no longer be built from thinking to will and action. Food plants no longer contain the forces people need for this.”

First harvest

With the recent heat wave we had such a growth spurt that the baby has come a bit early. Sun Valley Farm’s first distribution will be June 17th for Tuesday members and June 20th for Friday folk.

*Pickup time will be on from 3PM to 6PM.

Please bring a grocery bag either reusable or plastic to pick up your veggies. It looks like our first harvest, albeit modest, will be lettuce, turnips, radishes, snap peas and parsley.

If you are not familiar where the farm is located, click on "About the Farm" located on the right side of the blog. There is a good map and we are located on Bear Swamp Rd in Mahwah. There will be signs on Bear Swamp Rd. on the days of harvest.
